From Sept 12 to Oct 9, let's help women break free from abuse by supporting local women's shelters and programs.

Helping women break free from abuse

Program overview

Shoppers Foundation for Women’s HealthTM believes that all women should have access to the care and support they need to be healthy and safe. But with more than 2 in 5 women experiencing some form of intimate partner violence in their lifetime*, many women in Canada are suffering. Violence against women has a direct and negative impact on the health of women and their families.

We’re committed to changing that. The Giving Shelter campaign unites Shoppers Drug Mart® and PharmaprixMD stores across the Canada in raising funds and awareness for local women’s shelters and programs. From September 12 to October 9, when you round up your total in-store at checkout, you are helping women break free from abuse. 100% of donations raised help support more than 300 local women's shelters and programs.

Supporting all women

As part of our commitment, we recognize that the term “women’s health” is understood in a
variety of ways. Our work goes beyond the sex and gender binary, welcoming the
experiences of all women and gender-diverse people.
